The saliva of the Maidens of Jannah

Is this narration authentic?

عن ابن عباس أنه قال : في الجنة حوراء يقال لها العيناء لو بزقت في البحر لعذب ماؤه

Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Abbas (radiyallahu ‘anhuma) said, “There is a Hur [maiden] in Jannah called ‘Al ‘Ayna’, the waters of the ocean would turn sweet if she were to put her saliva in.”

Answer

‘Allamah ‘Ayni (rahimahullah) has cited this statement of Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Abbas (radiyallahu ‘anhuma) without a chain.

(‘Umdatul Qari, Hadith: 2796, vol. 10 pg. 99)

Imam Abu Bakr ibn Abid Dunya (rahimahullah) has recorded a similar narration as a Hadith of Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) with a weak chain.

(Sifatul Jannah, Hadith: 360, Ar Risalah edition. Also see: Targhib, vol. 4 pg. 535)

This narration may be quoted as a Hadith of Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam).

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
