The Hadith source; Sunan Sa’id Ibn Mansur

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by HadithAnswers.com

Question

Has the Kitab Sunan Sa’id ibn Mansur been printed entirely. (i.e the whole Kitab, or just a few volumes), and if so where can it be found.

Answer

As far as I know, this monumental book has not been fully printed.

There are two incomplete prints currently published, the first of them being with the annotation of Al-Muhaddithul Kabir; Shaykh Habibur Rahman Al-A’zami (rahimahullah).

This edition is published by: Darul Kutubul ‘ilmiyyah in two volumes.

The other, more recent edition is four volumes plus an index and is published by Darus Sumay’i. This edition continues from where the previous edition ends.

Despite this, both editions combined still do not cover the entire original book.

This later edition is probably easier to acquire at current book stores.

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best,
