A du’a Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) would recite in Sajdah Tilawah

Can you please confirm the authenticity of the following du’a to recite in Sajdah Tilawah:

سجد وجهي للذي خلقه، وشق سمعه وبصره، بحوله وقوته

Answer:

Sayyidah ‘Aaishah (radiyallahu ‘anha) says, ‘Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) would recite the following du’a when he would make Sajdah Tilawat [After reciting a verse of Sajdah] at night:

Sajada wajhi lilladhi khalaqahu wa shaqqa sam’ahu wa basarahu bihawlihi wa quwwatihi

(Sunan Tirmidhi, Hadith: 580-3425, Sunan Abi Dawud, Hadith :1409)

Imam Tirmidhi (rahimahullah) has declared the Hadith authentic (hasanun sahih).

Translation

I have prostrated my face to the One Who created it, granted its ability to hear and see, through His Ability and Power

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
