Our Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) will be the leader on the Day of Qiyamah and the first to intercede

Is this Hadith authentic?

أنا سيد ولد آدم يوم القيامة وأول من ينشق عنه القبر وأول شافع وأول مشفع

Answer:

Imam Muslim (rahimahullah) has recorded this Hadith in his Sahih, on the authority of Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (radiyallahu ‘anhu). The Hadith is therefore authentic.

(Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 2278)

Translation

Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:

I am the leader of the children of Adam on the Day of Qiyamah, the first whose grave will open [i.e. the first to be resurrected], the first to intercede and the first whose intercession will be accepted.

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
