I have missed 1 rakat of Isha’s Fard with jammat. So after the salam I stand up and go directly in to rukkah after reading ‘Alhamdulillah Hi-rabbil Aalameen’, and without reading any surrah after reading surah Fatiha. I forget to read and directly went into rukooh but I offered Sajdah Sahw. Is Namaz (Salat) Valid ?

If someone didn’t pray isha with jamat would this person be allowed to pray witr with jamaat or should he pray alone?

What should be done if the first rakaat is missed with Jamaat?

Could you please advise us what method of salat time calculation should be taken for Muslims in Minnesota. Majority of Muslim here follow ISNA salat time for Isha and Fajar, which is 15 degree. According to the fatwa of Mufti Taqi Usmani, we follow 18 degree for both Isha and Fajar. If we follow 18 degree for Isha and fajar then Isha enters at 11:34pm (July 1st,2004) and Fajar starts at 2:59am (July 1st, 2004). Should we continue with 18 degree or follow ISNA method of 15 degree?

My husband says you can make Isha Salaat early before it comes in I disagree with this. Is he correct or is he deviating from the truth. He can’t show me proof. I have always been taught that you do pray at a set time.

It was a pleasure to listen to your answers and I consider it an honor to have the opportunity to correspond with you for two very special reasons – firstly, I also happen to be from Hyderabad-Deccan and secondly, as a little boy, I have had the honor of attending two of Hazrat Abul Wafa (RA) Sahebs sessions. As it is widely known, he was considered as the Abu Hanifa of our times. There was one particular question on which I would still need your clarification, please. The question is quoted below: (Q52) If someone didn’t pray isha with jamaat would this person be allowed to pray witr with jamaat or should he pray alone?
