Timining for Asr, Maghrib & Isha salaat

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by ShariahBoard.org
How late can we pray Maghrib? Some say until Isha starts, while others say within the first 1/2 hour. Also, how early can we pray Asr? Does it matter if we sometimes pray according to the Shafai time in case we have to go somewhere or take care of something?
It’s desirable to pray Maghrib earlier but its time remains until Isha. It for some reason, somebody delayed the prayer then they should pray within its time before the time of Isha begins. And the time of Asr begins when the shade of everything doubles that is why we should not pray Asr before then. According to hanafi school of thought, the time of Asr begins also when the shade of things is its own size. Therefore, if a person is traveling he can pray Asr at that time known as the shafi time.
