Is It Permissible To Ask My Wife To Wear Hijab During Intercourse?

Answered as per Shafi'i Fiqh by Seekersguidance.org

Answered by Ustadha Shazia Ahmad

Question

As a way to be intimately playful with my wife in a private setting, if I ask my wife to wear a hijab but wear revealing clothing, to basically arouse and provoke desire, would that be considered mocking the hijab? Also, if I engage in sexual intimacy with my wife while she is wearing hijab and all covered up for the most part, would that be considered mocking the hijab?

Answer

Thank you for your question. There is absolutely nothing wrong with what you describe. A man is permitted to enjoy his wife from head to toe, in any permissible manner. It is not disrespectful or mocking, or anything else.
