Is it permissible to pray the Friday prayer behind a Hanbali imam who prays before the time of the noon prayer enters?

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

It is not permissible for a Shafi’i to do so unless one is following Imam Ahmad (May Allah have mercy on him), while observing his madhab in the rest of the rulings of prayer.

السؤال: هل يجوز لي أن أصلي الجمعة خلف إمام حنبلي يصلي الجمعة قبل دخول وقت الظهر؟ الجواب : لا يجوز للشافعي فعلُ ذلك إلا إن قلد القائلَ بذلك وهو الإمامُ أحمدُ رحمه الله مع مراعاة مذهبه في بقية أحكام الصلاة .
