Grandfathers financial responsibility towards his grandchildren

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by TheMufti.com

Q. In a situation where the husband passes away, leaving the wife, both parents and daughters, who is financially responsible for the daughters (under 14yrs)?

A. In the enquired case, the father of the deceased is financially responsible for his granddaughters if the son/father passes away. The father of the deceased must ensure that he fulfils his duties in financially providing for his grandchildren as they have a right upon him.
