Bargaining with haj groups

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Tafseer Raheemi

Question:

As salamu alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu dear Shiekh,

I wanted to know if what I did was wrong. I contacted one Hajj Company and in trying to bargain I said, ‘such and such other Hajj group is offering a package for £3350, so can you beat that price.’ I mentioned this other Hajj group by name and quoted the true price. Is it wrong for me to bargain like this for my Hajj price?

JazakAllah khairun

Wassallam
