Mashallah! May Allah increase your love for Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam, and may He bless you with the ziyarat of our beloved sallallahu alayhi wasallam.
First, remember we can’t force him to appear in our dreams. He comes as he wills. We need to draw his blessed attention towards us, and then he himself will feel like coming in our dream.
This could be achieved through a number of things; Correcting our lifestyle, Adapting his way of life by holding on to each and every sunnah, and Abundance of durood shareef.
There are some experiences mentioned by some mashaikh. They can be found in fadhaile durood shareef. Eg someone recited 2 rak’ats nafl salah before going to sleep on the night preceding Friday. In every rak’at they recited suratul ikhlaas 25 times. Thereafter they sat while reading a certain durood shareef and then lied down and kept reciting durood until they fell asleep, and within 3/5 weeks they were blessed with ziyarat.
You could try it. Recite any durood which is easy for you. Also make dua with sincerity and from the depth of your heart. Inshallah Allah will hear your prayers.
