Question: Can a mirror be used when shaving private parts?
Answer: It is not that hard to shave one’s private parts without using a mirror. However, if one finds it difficult to do so without using a mirror it will be deemed permissible.
One should not stare at his private parts unnecessarily as it is said that to stare at one’s private parts, is one of the causes of forgetfulness.
وَيَنْبَغِي لِكُلِّ إنْسَانٍ أَنْ يَتَوَلَّى عَوْرَتهُ بِنَفْسِهِ عِنْدَ التَّنَوُّرِ(البحر الرائق 8/219)
