How can we become consistent in praying with jamaat.

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by ShariahBoard.org

I have become very inconsistent with Fajar prayers in the masjid. Now I start sleeping really late and wake up late missing the time for salaat completely. It seems like I have to make qaza almost everyday. How can I change this habit?

If a person knows that because he’s going to sleep late he will miss the Morning Prayer that in that case he should go to sleep earlier. All those reasons that are coming in his way to sleep early he should get rid of them up, if he is hanging out with friends late he should avoid that, if he’s working on the computer than he should leave that, and a person should educate himself with the benefits and warnings of missing the morning prayer and hopefully this will induce him to sleep early and wake up early. If this happens even after that then you should punish yourself either by not eating breakfast or praying 20 additional rakats when you’re making up the prayer you missed.
