Playing Quran in background to memorize ??

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by ShariahBoard.org
Is it permissible to play audio tapes of quran all the time doing so that the kids in the house can memorize it? And also helps us avoid listening to songs and other laghwiyat. Note that sometimes we r busy doing something else while the quran is playing in the background but again it help us and the kids memorize the suras
It’s not right to keep quran tape on play while you are busy with something else. However much time one can dedicate to the recitation and listening it’s better, so, that child will benefit along. But one should be mindful that either of the two parties should be focused to listen to it. For example, if the children have already memorized it then to open it for them, or if the elders need to listen to the quran then to open for that reason is acceptable. If someone is busy with his/her work and finds hard to focus attention to quran then to open it is disrespectful.
