Assalaamualaikum,
The issue is that I have a loan on a piece of property in Pakistan. I have been sending money to my parents to pay off the loan on the property. Unfortunately, my parents pay some amount of loan and some they don’t. Now the issue remains that my loan still remains and parents keep asking for money to pay off the loan. This seems to be a never ending cycle. Furthermore, both parents are constantly asking for monthly expenses in sepereate bank accounts even though they are wealthy enough to manage their own expenses. Not sure what to do. Please advise.

One should consider it to be his auspiciousness, fortune, and storage for his life hereafter as much of his wealth is spent by one’s parents. If the parents, despite their affluence demand more than their needs and you would spend on them according to your capacity then you will not have sin for any deficiency in fulfilling their demand. Nevertheless, you should take care of strengthening the bonds of kinship and kind treatment to your best. As far as the payment of loan is concerned you should contact the lender directly or through a third person to pay off your loan.
