Question: Assalamu ‘alaykum. How was Hawwa’ created?

How Was Eve Created?
The Qur’an says, “He created you from a single soul, then made from that soul its partner.” [Qur’an, 39:6] This is a clear verse explaining the origin of Hawwa’. We Qur’an explicitly affirms that Adam is this first soul, and therefore his wife was made from him.
We also have the hadith of the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace), “Accept my injunction regarding women: for a woman was created from a rib, and the most curved part of a rib is the top of it. If you try to straighten it you will break it, and if you leave it, it stays curved. Accept my advice regarding women: be good to them.” [Muslim]
This verse and this rigorously authenticated hadith show that Adam was created first, and then his rib was used as the raw material to fashion his wife. This point is clear.
Is This a Source Of Humiliation For Women?
Certainly not. Allah uses the fact that He created her from Adam as a point to remind us of His favors to us – humanity. No one reminds another of a time when they were humiliated when they actually want to bring to mind their kindness.
Thinking it is a form of humiliation is a misunderstanding. There are many other misunderstandings, including her creation, which are touched upon in this answer. Please refer to it.
