Is it correct that if a women is fasting and she starts her menses after 12:00pm then her fast is still valid? If this is correct can you please let me know where this has come about (support )

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Wa Alaykum Assalam wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuhu,

In the name of Allah, Most Merciful & Compassionate

If a fasting woman has her menses any time during the day (from the break of dawn until sunset), then her fast is invalid, and she will have to make up that day another time. [Shurunbulali, Nur al-Idah & Maraqi al-Falah 292-93]

Sayyida Aisha (Allah be pleased with her) said, “When we used to enter menstruation we were commanded to make up the fast and we were not commanded to make up the prayer.” [Muslim]

And Allah knows best
