In the past I used to pay half of the bus fare rather than all of it. This would occur very often and I would think nothing of it at the time. I do not know the amount that I have to pay the company, since this occurred over a period of 6-7 years, when I attended school and college. Sometimes I would pay the full fare and at other times only half of it, and getting off the bus later than I should be. How do I pay back this ”unknown” amount?

By making a reasoned estimate. Alternatively, you can contact the relevant department of your area’s transport authorities and ask whether they waive the debt.
However, re-paying it, even if in a gradual manner, is the way of taqwa and deen.

My father used to ‘steal electricity’ from the electricity company using Now, can he pay them back as repentance? Can he accept a reduction in how much he has to pay back? My father is hesitant could my brothers and I pay on his behalf?
