Manners of handling the Holy Quran

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Qibla.com

What are the specifics of dealing with the Quran. Must you have wudu when you come into direct contact with it or simply when you read it? Does carrying a quran with you bring more benefit than simply having it there for reading? Is it more of a sin to use foul language in the same room as a Quran than to do so otherwise? Is it ok to put the quran in your bag, and then put the bag on the floor? Do the same rulings apply to a book that simply has Allah’s name in it?

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
