Someone told me that either on the second last or last Friday of Ramadan you can make up for all the missed prayers during the year by praying all the Fard prayers of one day. Is this true?
assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah
I pray this finds you in the best of health and spirits. One’s duty is to pray, and to do so within the time. If one fails in the latter, the former duty remains–and one must therefore make up each missed obligatory prayer. There is consensus (ijma) on this point, as mentioned by such authorities as Imam Nawawi and Imam Lakhnawi. It is not enough to merely repent, or to perform one “special prayer” at some special time.
