Women concealing their shape in Salaah

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: Could Mufti Saheb please clarify if there is difference between the fardh and the mustahab satars of a woman in salaah. If her body was covered but part of her clothing fitted in a way that showed her shape, will her salaah be valid?

Bismillaah

A: For namaaz, we do not know of any mustahab satr for women, like there is no mustahab satr for men.

To conceal the shape is also compulsory. If the shape has been revealed then it is appropriate that the namaaz be repeated.

Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
