The book Ar Raheequl Makhtum

Q: What is your opinion regarding the book Ar Raheeq Al Makhtum by Saifur rehman Al mubarakpuri?

bismillah.jpg

A: The Ahaadith in the book relating to the life of Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) and taareekh (Islamic history) are authentic and can be relied upon. However, it is not a fatwa kitaab, thus one cannot extract Islamic rulings from this book. We disagree with the reasoning and interpretation of the author due to him not adhering to any systematic line of thought as is the case of those who follow the four imaams of fiqh.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
