Qadhaa of the namaaz left out on safar

Q: A musafir if he never read his namaaz on his journey, he still reads qasr at home. If he does not read it qasr but full, is his salaah valid?

A: The qadhaa of the namaaz left out on safar will be read as qasar.

ومن حكمه أن الفائتة تقضي على الصفة التي فاتت عنه لعذر وضرورة فيقضي مسافر في السفر ما فاته في الحضر من الفرض الرباعي أربعا والمقيم في الإقامة ما فاته في السفر منها ركعتين (الفتاوى الهندية 1/ 121)
