Unemployed and Pressured to Work in a Bank: A Moral Dilemma

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: My problem is that I am unemployed and my family is forcing me to get a job in a bank but I don’t want to do this job because I think it’s haraam. What should I do?

Bismillaah

A: You are right in your thinking. Abstain from haraam. May Allah Ta`ala give you a good halaal occupation.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
