Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: I want to know that after a fathers death, if the eldest son gets a job in the fathers place and gets well settled. He owns a property and earns a good salary but the younger son got nothing after his fathers death. Should the younger son be given some extra property or not?

Bismillaah

A: It is not his compulsory duty. However, to be kind towards siblings is an act of great virtue.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
