Are tooth caps permitted?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Qibla.com

Answered by Shaykh Faraz Rabbani

Just wanted to find out on behalf of my aunt if it is permissible to put a ”cap” on your tooth, I think it’s like some sort of covering. I’m not sure it might be permanent, its not for beauty reasons but its because her teeth are weak I think.

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Walaikum assalam wa rahmatullah,

Both tooth fillings and caps are permitted when there is a need or benefit.

Please use the search engine at www.SunniPath.com for fillings for related answers.

And Allah alone gives success.

Wassalam,

Faraz Rabbani
