Q: I just did intercourse with my wife during her mensis period and now I am worried about it. Please guide me what would be kaffara for it?
A: Having relations with one’s wife while she is in her menses is a major sin. You should sincerely repent to Allah Ta’ala for this grave sin and make a firm resolve that you will never repeat it in the future. The Hadith mentions that the one who commits this grave sin should repent and also give some sadaqah (approximately R250) as an atonement for the sin.
