Question:

Is it permissible for me to post quotes on social media while remaining anonymous during my ‘iddah after khula?

Answer:

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيْم

In the name of Allāh, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

Jazāk Allāh Khayr/ Thank you for contacting Mathābah.

Yes, it would be islamicaly permissible for you, during your ‘iddah to post islamicaly appropriate quotes on social media without displaying yourself.

One should not engage in any unnecessary interaction with others on such online platforms. One of the requirements of ‘iddah is to avoid leaving the home and also unnecessarily interacting with the public. Social media interaction is just like physically leaving the home in many aspects. – (See: Mukhtaṣar Al-Qudūrīy, Page 170, Dār Al-Kutub Al-‘Ilmīyyah)[1]
