Question:
Does the Holy Prophet (peace Be Upon Him ) has Ilm-e-Gaib. is he Haazir Naazir. Can we recite Durood including Yaa Rasoolallah in Pakistan
Please give your answer with strong Dalaail
Answer:
Prophet Mohammad (SAW) neither possessed complete Ilm-e-Ghaib, nor is he Haadhir-Naadhir. Complete Knowledge of the unseen and Omnipresence are two attributes exclusively for Allah. In verse 3 of Surah An’aam, Allah says,” And He is Allah in the heavens and even in the earth. He knows your secret and your evident (conditions), and He knows all that you acquire”. It is clearly understood from this, that none besides Allah is Omnipresent and help should only be sought from Him. Nabi (SAW) told Ibni Abbas (RA), “When you seek assistance, seek the assistance of Allah”. In verse 65 of Surah Naml, Allah says, “Say,” none in the heavens and the earth knows the things of the unseen besides Allah.” Therefore, the quality of complete Ilm-e-Ghaib is a quality only for Allah.
What we understand from the above, is that Nabi (SAW) did not have complete knowledge of the unseen. Nevertheless, Allah did give Him some of this knowledge. No person from the entire creation can claim that he has more knowledge than Nabi (SAW). As Muslims, we believe that from the entire creation, Nabi (SAW) was given the most knowledge as was appropriate to His prophethood. That person who believes that Nabi (SAW) had complete knowledge of the unseen and He (SAW) is present everywhere, then this belief leads to Kufr. (Fataawaa Haqqaniyyah Vol. 1, Page 171,172, Fataawaa Darul Uloom Vol. 1, Page 65)
Durood containing the words Yaa Rasoolullah can be read if the person does not have the belief that Nabi (SAW) is present and he is listening when he is reading it. When Durood is read, the belief that the Angels will convey it to Nabi (SAW) on behalf the person should be kept. (Fataawaa Haqqaniyyah Vol. 1, Page 162,163).
