Answer:

  1. It is permissible to Shaheed a Masjid before rebuilding it in order to make it stronger.  (Raddul Muhtaar, Vol. 3, Page 405, Fataawaa ‘Aalamgeeriyyah, Vol. 2, Page 457, Fataawaa Mahmoodiyah, Vol. 10, Page 180)

  1. Straightening the garment with both the hands after standing up from Ruku’ or Sajdah will not fall under ‘Amal-e-Katheer.  Straightening the Kurtaa after standing up from Ruku’ or Sajdah is usually done due to one of two reasons.  Firstly, because sometimes the Kurtaa hangs itself onto the waist on the back which causes irritation to some.  Secondly, the Kurtaa sometimes gets stuck in the buttocks which also cause irritation and both these situations lead to lack of concentration in Salaah.  If the Kurtaa is straightened for a valid reason like the ones mentioned above then there is no harm in doing so but one hand would suffice for them.  It will be Makrooh to use both the hands.  It will be Makrooh-e-Tahrimi to do so without a valid reason and it will be Waajib to repeat that Salaah in which a Makrooh-e-Tahrimi action was committed.  (Ahsanul Fataawaa, Vol. 3, Page 436, Raddul Muhtaar, Vol. 1, Page 473 and 337)
