It is permitted and established in Shari’a to provide the necessary house keeping things according to one’s capacity at the time of marriage of his daughter or sister. Bearing interest based loans for this…. but.., to give this permissible act the status of Fardh and Wajib; and delaying the marriage due to this; or demanding of same by boy’s party and then officially exhibiting and displaying same etc. are all such things that are not permissible in Shari’a and also innovation and Haram. Therefore it is extremely necessary to practice according to the teachings of Islam in this regard.
