What is the opinion of Ulema on the teachings and influence of Dr. Zakir Naik?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Jamia Binoria
Assalamu Alaikum
Mufthi Sahib I had requested you to please inform the general public about the Fitna of Dr Zakir Naik. He has spoilt the Aqida of many people to the extent that people who call themselves to be Deobandis too call him a hero. If you do not take any action against him soon, it tends to spread like Maudoodi and the future generation would never hear anything against him.
If you do not take any action against him all of them whose Aqida had been ruined will catch hold of you in the day of Qiyamath.
I have not heard any bayan Against Dr Zakir Naik yet. Please inform the reason for this.

الجواب حامدا و مصلیا

In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent and the Most Merciful
Information received by us so far without investigation and ascertainment about Dr Zakir Naik is that although he is a free thinking liberal, with non Shar’i costumes, yet the discourses he conducts in the presence of non-Muslims about the precision of Islam have been found to be effective and in fitting manner. However his expressions on Shar’i rulings such as Thalaq etc. are due to his ignorance on the subject and normally they are found to be incorrect on research. Therefore it is essential to refrain from depending on what he says about Shar’i rulings and acting accordingly.
