If someone dies from an accident, is it permissible to light candles for him? If permissible, then to what extent?
Lighting candles for someone who has died in an accident is wasting money without reason, from which neither the decease benefits, nor does the one who lights the candles. In fact, burning flames are of the qualities of the fire of Hell, so this should be avoided.
