Assalamu aliku Janab Mufti sab.I found a man so called tableegi buzrurg saying that who one listens recitation of the holy Quran through the TV,or tap record that commits gunah. please help me.may Allah help You.

Listening to the recitation of Qur’an of course is not a sin. According to Shari’a it is correct and is a source of great reward indeed. However, it is not correct to listen to Qur’an recitations or any other programs (in TV) since TV is an instrument of Evil, and apart from the appearance of the image of reciter there are quite a few vices which are indispensable. Therefore it is incumbent to refrain from purchasing TV, keeping it in the house and viewing it.
