A Barelvi Alim in his address said that “it is written in Fatawa Rasheediya that the parents of Rasoolullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam were Kafirs (Non Believers) and in my view those who think them to be Kafirs are Kafirs” The question is what is the Aqeeda of Ulama e Deoband in this regard as there were lot of fighting and disturbances taken place in this matter. Please write whatever the findings according to Ahl e Sunnath alongwith the references in this context and guide us.

Let it be known that sayings of the learned Ulama about the Eman of the blessed parents of Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam are different due to different narrations in this regard. Since the subject matter is so subtle and delicate observing silence in this is more safe among the researchers of Ahnaf and it is the way of safety. Therefore engaging in these subjects and creating conflicts and disturbances is tantamount to ruin one’s Eman and to injure the feelings of the believers unnecessarily whereas these are subjects about which no question will be asked either in Qabr or in Hashr. Therefore it is necessary to avoid engaging in such things and wasting one’s time.
