Is it necessary that every muslim should be a Hafiz of Six Kalmas?
الجواب حامدا و مصلیا
The six Kalimas which are famous, are arranged in name, number and order, only to facilitate in memorizing and reciting in instances where Rasoolullahi Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam has taught to recite and to achieve the virtues there-of although their number, names and order do not fold into any category of Fardh, Wajib or Sunnat in Shari’a. The first two among these do possess the basic status of achieving Eeman whereas the other four are for achieving of virtues and strengthening of Eeman. Upon this basis these are being memorized to children from the very outset.
