1. Can I give Zakat to a relative of mine (who is entitled too to receive Zakat) without informing him? 2. Instead of giving cash in Zakat, is it possible to give essential things such as floor, material, jewelries for their children’s wedding and mobile phone etc?

It is not essential to inform while giving Zakat that it is Zakat. However while calculating or giving to those who are entitled it is necessary to have the Niyyat of Zakat whereas it is allowed to give the said items too, as Zakat instead of giving money as Zakat.
