I will be going to a business meeting in AUSTRIA during the Ramadan in 2008. I would like to know whether I can skip fasting when I am away. And complete fasting when I am back in Pakistan.

Respected Mufti Sahib, Thanks for your reply. My question was a bit different and not only related to the day(s) i am traveling (moving) in ramadan. I will be staying in Europe 10- 12 days. Please also tell me when I am there can I skip Ramadan fasting for all those days and do qaza when i am back.

In the said Shar’i journey although it is permissible to leave Fasting, it is incumbent to make Qadha on them after returning. However observing Fast in this situation too is excellent, if one has courage to do so.
