What can I do to see the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam in a dream?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by IslamicSolutions.org

Shortened Question:

What can I do to see the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam in a dream?

Question:

What can I do to see the Prophet (Sallallahu Aliahi wa Sallam) in dream and also really?

We pray Zuhr from our school Masjid. Our dress has designs on it because no man can enter there. But now, there is a construction work going on, so the workers can see us. Will we get punished?

I have a friend who accepts good advice, but I told her that men could see us from the masjid but still she doesn’t care and walks around without covering her full awrah through the masjid and also her pardah has design on it. I am angry towards her. Should I avoid this friendship?

Or else I will feel “ it’s just one advice she doesn’t accept” and I may fall into sin. Please advice.

Answer:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

To see Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam  in one’s dream is praiseworthy. However, Shariah emphasizes on following the Sunnah of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam.

Insha Allah with the barakat of following the Sunnah, one will be blessed with a vision of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam. Sending abundant Salam on Rasulullah is also encouraged.

For us to respond appropriately to your query, please elaborate further as to what you mean by awrah.

And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best
