ʿAqīqah for fetus
Question:
If a woman gives birth to a foetus 5-month gestation and it lived for a few minutes, do the parents have to give ʿAqīqah for the baby?

Answer:
It is permissible to undertake ʿAqīqah if they wish to do so. However, it is not recommended in the way that it is if the child remained alive. (For references, refer to our earlier answer).
