Question:

What is status of following narration?

Answer:

Imam Tabarani (rahimahullah) has recorded this narration. Simak ibn Harb (rahimahullah) relates: “Harith ibn Hassan (radiyallahu ‘anhu), who was a Sahabi got married. It was the norm back then, that when a man would marry, he would keep in seclusion for a few days and not leave for Fajr Salah. [Harith radiyallahu ‘anhu] was asked, ‘Are you leaving the home whereas you have just married [last] night?’ He replied, ‘By Allah, A woman who prevents me from offering Fajr Salah in congregation, is an evil woman.’”

(Al Mu’jamul Kabir, Hadith: 3324)

‘Allamah Haythami (rahimahullah) has declared the chain sound (hasan).

(Majma’uz Zawaid, vol. 2 pg. 41)
