A query regarding the wording of the Hadith on the virtue of assisting a Muslim

Question

I know the narration with the following wording is recorded in Sahih Muslim:

والله في عون العبد ما كان العبد في عون أخيه

Allah will aid a servant so long as the servant aids his brother

I want to know if there is any narration with the words:

ان الله في عون العبد مادام العبد في عون اخيه

 

Answer

Imam Muslim (rahimahullah) has recorded the recorded the words as you have cited. See here and here.

I have not come across the exact words you are looking for in any primary Hadith source. Imam Tabarani (rahimahullah) has recorded the narration with the following words which is slightly different from what you have cited:

إن الله في عون العبد ما كان المرء في عون أخيه

(Al Mu’jamul Awsat, Hadith: 5661)
