Answered according to Hanafi Fiqh by

Is this narration authentic?

‘Ali (radiyallahu ‘anhu) said, “Do you not grow jealous! When you let your wives walk among men and see each other!

The following narration is recorded in Musnad Ahmad (Zawaid ‘Abdullah ibn Imam Ahmad):

Sayyiduna ‘Ali (radiyallahu ‘anhu) said: “Do you not feel possessive jealousy/feel shy that your wives emerge [from your homes]? It has reached me that your women are going to the marketplaces crowding with burly men?”

(Musnad Ahmad, vol. 1 pg. 133)

The narration is suitable to quote. Also see annotations of Shaykh Ahmad Shakir on Musnad Ahmad, Hadith: 1118
