It is not suitable to give speeches and lessons in Jumu’ah day (Friday), before Jumu’ah prayer, there is Hadith by authority of ‘Amr ibn Shua’yb by his father by his grandfather that Messenger of Allah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam) forbid atahalluqu (gathering of knowledge and revisions) before the Salah on the day of Jumu’ah.

(transmitted by Abu Dawud, An Nasa’i and Tirmidhi)

Answer

This word التحلق (underlined in the question ) doesn’t not translate as ‘gatherings of knowledge’.

It rather translates as sitting in a circle.

(An-Nihayah, vol.1 pg.416)

Alhamdulillah our ‘Ulama have implemented this Hadith by stating that during the Friday khutbah people should be seated in their rows and not in a circle around the speaker/khatib.

(Badhlul Majhud, vol.2 pg.177 & Taqrir Bukhari)

Important note:

The unqualified should not read such academic references, as it definitely leads to confusion, as in this case.

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
