Is this Hadith reliable?
من استأجر أجيرا فليسم له إجارته
‘Whoever employs an employee, should specify for him his wage [in advance].’
Answer:
This Hadith is recorded -with slight variation in wording- by the student of Imam Abu Hanifah; Imam Muhammad ibn Hasan Ash-Shaybani (rahimahumallah) in his Kitabul Athar, with a reliable chain.
Imam ‘Abdur Razzaq (rahimahullah) has recorded it with the exact words cited in question with a reliable chain too.
