Short form of Durud [salutations] and Istighfar

I would like to know which is the smallest durud [salutations] and istighfar which one can recite everyday.

Normally in durud [salutations] I recite only “sallallahu ‘alayhi wassalam” and in istighfar  “astaghfirullah”. Is it okay to recite only this much?

What you have been reciting is sufficient.
