Please provide the reference for the following Hadith:
“He who sees a fault [of a Muslim] and conceals it is like the one who brought back to life an infant girl who had been buried alive”
Answer:
Imam Abu Dawud (rahimahullah) has recorded this narration on the authority of Sayyiduna ‘Uqbah ibn ‘Amir (radiyallahu ‘anhu).
(Sunan Abi Dawud, Hadith: 4855)
The Hadith in question is supported by similar corroborating narrations and has been declared authentic by Imam Ibn Hibban and Imam Hakim (rahimahumallah).
