Questions in the grave

What are the questions we will be asked in the grave?

Answer

Sayyiduna Al Bara ibn ‘Azib (radiyallahu ‘anhu) reports that Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said – as part of a lengthy narration: “….Two angels will appear and ask the person:

1) Who is your creator (rabb)?

2) What is your religion?

3) Who is this man that has been sent to your’ll (Rasulullah sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam)? …”

(Sunan Abi Dawud, hadith: 4720, Musnad Ahmad, vol. 4 pg. 287, Musannaf ibn Abi Shaybah, hadith: 12185 and Shu’abul Iman, hadith: 390)

Imam Bayhaqi (rahimahullah) has graded the above hadith as authentic (sahih)

(Shu’abul Iman, hadith: 390)

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best
