Is the following a Hadith?
التائب حبيب الله
The repenter is Allah’s beloved
Answer:
The Muhaddithun have written that this statement is actually derived from the Quran and other Hadiths, and not found as one clear Hadith.
Allah Ta’ala says:
“Indeed Allah loves those who constantly repent”
Therefore, there is no harm in using the above for encouraging tawbah (repentance) but it shouldn’t be quoted as a Hadith.
