A narration regarding the virtue of completing the Quran

What is the authenticity of the following Hadith?

“Whoever finished the Quran, sixty thousand (60 000) angels makes du’a for him.”

Answer

This narration is recorded in Musnadul Firdaws. However, the Muhaddithun have declared the Hadith a fabrication.

(Refer: Dhaylul La-Alil Masnu’ah, vol. 1 pg. 125, Hadith: 137, Tanzihush Shari’ah, vol. 1 pg. 299 and Al Mudawi, vol. 1 pg. 309/310, Hadith: 281)

The following narration should be quoted instead:

Humayd Al A’araj (rahimahullah) said:

“Whoever recites the Quran and then makes du’a, four thousand (4000) angels say amin to his du’a”

(Sunan Darimi: 3524. See here)

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
